Mike Augustin Award
This award is named in memory of the late Mike Augustin, a longtime sportswriter at the Pioneer Press. Mike was an articulate friend, follower and advocate of the MIAC. He respected Division III institutions, student-athletes and coaches. He died after a sudden illness in December of 1997.
The Mike Augustin Award will be presented annually, beginning in 1999, to recognize outstanding contributions to MIAC athletic programs and their student athletes. Recipients of the award are chosen by MIAC Sports Information Directors.
