Fisette
Chris Fisette, Saint Mary's


Saint Mary’s University junior Chris Fisette (Elmhurst, Ill.) was involved in establishing his third school record in two weeks at the Carleton Pre-MIAC meet on Friday. Fisette set a new school record and qualified provisionally for nationals with a Triple Jump victory of 14.08m (46’ 2 1/2"). He also won the Long Jump with a leap of 6.55 m (21' 6"0. Finally, he anchored the 4x200m Relay to a new school record with a time of 1:31.95. Other members were Josiah Ryks, Eddie Moore and John Kelly. One week earlier, Fisette had established a school record in the 200m running 22.95.

John Schantzen, St. Olaf


St. Olaf College sophomore John Schantzen (Stillwater, Minn.) won the shot put at The Qualifier at St. Olaf on Saturday with a personal best, NCAA Provisional Mark of 16.33 (53'-7"). The mark ranks him first in the MIAC and sixth in Division III. The mark also ranks second on St. Olaf's All-Time Shot Put list.
