Six named to D3hoops.com Women's All-West Region Team

St. Paul, Minn. -- Six Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) women's basketball student-athletes have been named to the 2010 D3hoops.com All-West Region Team.
University of St. Thomas junior center Rachel Booth (Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle) was the conference's lone first team All-Region pick.
Gustavus Adolphus College senior guard Bri Radtke (Winsted, Minn./Lester Prairie) and St. Catherine University junior forward Laura Kalbfell (Lakeville, Minn.) were both second team All-Region selections.
Concordia College junior guard Erica Nord (Wolverton, Minn./Barnesville), Hamline University junior center Mary Wilkowski (Savannah, Ga./St. Andrews), and Macalester College senior forward Trina PaStarr (Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest) were all chosen to the All-Region third team.
Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors. There were 676 players nominated nationwide, a new high. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for 10 players in their region. SIDs voted for six frontcourt players and four backcourt players, to ensure balance. Regions that have fewer than 40 Division III teams have two teams, while all other regions have three teams.
