St. Paul, Minn. -- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced the 2009-10 MIAC Women's Basketball Awards today, March 4, 2010. Gustavus Adolphus College senior guard Bri Radtke was named the 2009-10 MIAC Player of the Year. Radtke led the Gusties to a share of the MIAC Regular Season title with a 18-4 record. She tied for the MIAC lead with 4.41 assists per game and was fifth in the conference in assist/turnover ratio at 1.76. Radtke also averaged 11.0 points per game while shooting 47.3% from the field.

Hamline University first-year forward Tromesa May was chosen as the MIAC Sixth Player of the Year for 2009-10. May averaged 9.1 points while shooting 55.9 % from the floor. She also pulled down 6.7 rebounds in 17 conference games for the Pipers.

College of Saint Benedict head coach Mike Durbin was named the 2009-10 MIAC Coach of the Year. Durbin's Blazers won a share of the MIAC Regular Season Championship with 18-4 conference record. This was the fifth consecutive MIAC title Saint Benedict has won or shared.

As part of a conference-wide sportsmanship initiative, the MIAC announced the fourth annual All-MIAC Sportsmanship team for women's basketball. Members of the All-MIAC Sportsmanship team are selected by their coaches and teammates as individuals who demonstrate ideals of positive sportsmanship both on and off the field of competition.
