Ten MIAC teams receive All-Academic Team honors

St. Paul, Minn. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) awarded ten Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) women’s cross country teams with All-Academic Team honors, it was announced Friday.
Those earning USTFCCCA honors from the MIAC included: Bethel University (3.65 Team GPA), St. Olaf College (3.60 GPA), Hamline University (3.53 GPA), the University of St. Thomas (3.52 GPA), Carleton College (3.49 GPA), Gustavus Adolphus College (3.47 GPA), Augsburg College (3.45 GPA), Concordia College (3.42 GPA), Saint Mary’s University (3.35 GPA), and the College of Saint Benedict (3.25 GPA).
For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Meet. The team must also have a minimum 3.10 team cumulative grade point average.
The MIAC led all conferences with a total of ten schools on the All-Academic list. The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and New England Small College Athletic Conference followed closely behind, each with nine schools earning All-Academic honors.
A total of 153 Division III women’s programs received the USTFCCCA’s All-Academic Team honors this year.
