2005 MIAC Women's Cross Country Championship
Carleton wins 2005 MIAC Women's Cross Country Team Championship and Gustavus' Hailey Harren places first
St. Paul, Minn. - The Carleton College women's cross country team claimed its second consecutive conference title at the 2005 MIAC Cross Country Championships at St. Paul's Como Park. Carleton's 75 team points just beat out second place St. Thomas (81) , third place St. Olaf (82), and fourth place Gustavus Adolphus (91).
Gustavus Adolphus' Hailey Harren ran to a first place finish individually with her time of 21:53.80. Hamline's Keidra Anderson finished in second and Harren's teammate Kourtney Joyce finished in third. Carleton was propelled to the team title with three runners in the top 11. The Knight's Sarah Schillaci, Kate Meyer, and Kristina Nixon finished sixth, ninth, and eleventh, respectively.
