MIAC Player of the Year - Holly Noble, University of St. Thomas
University of St. Thomas junior Holly Noble (Owatonna, Minn.) won the MIAC Championships this fall with three-day total of 228, winning medalist honors by a record 17 strokes. Noble had a scoring average of 80.41 for the season. Noble finished eighth at the NCAA Championships with a total score of 316 (+24). She recorded eight top 10 finishes, including medalist honors at the UW-Eau Claire Spring Invite. Noble shot rounds in the 70s in 10 of her last 13 outings.

MIAC Senior of the Year - Breanne Staples, Gustavus Adolphus College
Gustavus Adolphus College senior Breanne Staples (Windom, Minn.) finished the season with a 81.72 scoring average. Staples tied for 15th at the recently completed NCAA Championships with a four-day total of 324 (+32). Staples added a first-place finish at the Midwest Classic and seconds at the Minnesota State Women's Intercollegiate Meet and the Carleton Spring Invitational.

MIAC Freshman of the Year - Karla Leon, Macalester College
Macalester College first-year Karla Leon (Quito, Ecuador/Colegio Menor SFQ) finished the season with a scoring average of 81.89. Leon tied for fifth place at her first MIAC Championship meet this fall with a 54-hole total of 250. She earned Midwest All-Region honors and Honorable Mention All-America status and tied for 13th with a 323 (+31) at the NCAA Championships. Leon recorded five top five tournament finishes, including one tournament win at the Loras Spring Invite.

MIAC Coach of the Year - Martha Nause, Macalester College
In 2006-07, Martha Nause guided Macalester to its most successful conference tournament ever at the MIAC Championships held at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids. The Scots moved up four positions from a year ago and placed third in the nine-team event for its highest conference finish ever, bettering the team's fourth-place efforts in '96, '97 and '01. Macalester placed two golfers in the top five individually at the conference meet.
