2007 MIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Awards

Saint John's University junior Chris Erichsen (Spring Valley, Minn./Kingsland) was selected MIAC Men’s Outstanding Track Athlete after he won the 1,500 and 5,000 meter runs at the 2007 MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships held this past weekend. Erichsen's time of 3:56.96 in the 1,500 set a new Clemen's Stadium record. In the 5,000 meter run, Erichsen won the race with a time of 14:58.98.

Saint John's University junior Erik Diley (Prescott, Wis.) was chosen MIAC Men's Outstanding Field Athlete for his performance at the 2007 Outdoor Championships. Diley won the long jump with a mark of 23'4.75" (7.13m). His leap provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Championships and set a new stadium record. Diley also finished second in the triple jump with a NCAA provisional jump of 46'8.75" (14.24m).

Gustauvs Adolphus College senior Tanner Miest (New London, Minn./New London-Spicer) earned the honor of MIAC Men’s Outstanding Performance as he three-peated as MIAC Champion in the 110 meter hurdles with a stadium record and NCAA provisional qualifying time of 14.58 seconds.

Tim Miles of Saint John's University was selected men’s MIAC Outdoor Coach of the Year. Miles guided Saint John's to there fourth MIAC Outdoor team championship in 11 years.
