University of St. Thomas sophomore goalkeeper Jessica Christopherson (Coon Rapids, Minn.) helped the Tommies win the MIAC Championship for the first time since 1987 posting two shutouts this week against Augsburg and Concordia. On the season, Christopherson has 11 shutouts and a 15-1-1 record. St. Thomas, ranked 19th in the nation, hosts Loras College in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Wednesday at 1pm.

College of Saint Benedict forward Krista Beggin (Senior, Arden Hills, Minn./Irondale HS) helped the Blazers to a three win week by scoring two goals and one assist. Beggin had one goal and one assist against St. Catherine and a goal against St. Olaf.

Macalester College junior forward Katie Stephens (Urbana, IL) led the Scots to a 3-0 week as Macalester defeated Carleton 1-0, Washington University (Mo.) 3-1 and the University of Chicago 2-1. Stephens posted her second hat trick of the season, scoring a pair of first half goals and putting the game away with a second half score in Macalester's win over Washington. The All-MIAC forward added her seventh goal of the season to break a 1-1 tie in the second half of Macalester's win over Chicago.

Augsburg College goalkeeper Laura Hoffman (Sophomore, Bloomington, Minn. / Bloomington Kennedy H.S.) posted two shutout victories last week against MIAC opponents Carleton (1-0 win) and St. Catherine (1-0 win). Hoffman has shut-out 4 of 6 MIAC opponents and has only given up 3 goals in conference competition.

St. Olaf College sophomore forward Kristi Parks (Plymouth, Minn / Wayzate H.S.) helped lead the Oles to two MIAC wins over Concordia-Moorhead and Hamline. Parks, scoring consecutive hat tricks, totaled six goals and tallied three assists to boost the Oles to a 6-1 overall record (3-0 MIAC).

Gustavus Adolphus College senior midfielder Tiffany Alstead (Wayzata, MN) tallied two goals and two assists in a 6-1 win over Luther College in Decorah, Iowa on Sunday. Alstead scored her first goal on a direct free kick from 25 yards out in the third minute of play. She then set up the next two Gustavus goals before tallying her second score of the match in 87th minute. Alstead now has two goals and three assists for the 2-3 Gusties. Gustavus will next play host to Carleton College (1-2) on Tuesday at 4:00pm in St. Peter, Minn.
