MIAC Player of the Year - Joe Schoolmeesters, Saint John's University
Saint John's University sophomore Joe Schoolmeesters (Litchfield, Minn.) was the medalist at this season's MIAC Championships, carding a 2 under par for a 54-hole total of 214. Schoolmeesters is currently the top ranked player in the district and the third ranked player nationally. He has five tournament wins on the season and has six tournament rounds in the 60's this year.

MIAC Freshman of the Year - A.J. Olson, Gustavus Adolphus College
Gustavus Adolphus College first-year A.J. Olson (White Bear Lake, Minn.) has a 75.4 scoring average while playing on the Gustavus varsity team. Olson's best finish was a tie for eighth at the Bobby Krig Invitational in a field of 84 earlier this spring. He has posted rounds of 72,73,73,74 during the spring season.

MIAC Coach of the Year - Bob Alpers, Saint John's University
Saint John's head coach Bob Alpers has guided the Johnnies to six MIAC titles in the last eight years and seven straight NCAA appearances. Saint John's won the MIAC Championship this season by 24 strokes and finished with four of the top seven individuals in the meet. The Johnnies are also on the verge of capturing their first ever NCAA Golf Championship as they enter the final round today with a 16-stroke lead. Alpers, the 2005 GCAA Eaton Golf Pride Regional Coach of the Year, has now won MIAC Coach of the Year honors six times in his coaching career (1999, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2006, 2007).
